I agree 100%. Many of us had hoped that Occupy would grow to be the outside force that would push the Democrats toward more progressive positions and a more aggressive response to the attack from the right. I don't think we're there yet.
Some of us who are independents were curious to see how the Occupy would impact the Democratic party also. I'm afraid the Democratic party has the same problem as the Republican party though...too much power for too long with no care for anything other then themselves. I think both Democrats and Republicans need to be put to pasture as neither of them serve the common good.
In the firmest sense, I believe that conflict and disagreement-the genuine clash of wills and beliefs strengthens us as a society. However, the fact is the principles that I see both parties at right now only benefit corporations and not the people.
Get Republicans Elected Every November. Unfortunately, despite then not being...eh, perfect. Democrats are really the only way to go if you want to see even an ounce of common sense in this country.
Though it's really sad that Third Parties will always be a death wish. Well unless we go back to a four-party system which LOL ain't happen.
