Too cold, wet and windy in Scotland. Mmm... they could maybe use Poly-Tunnels, they're everywhere anyway. The tax would help reduce the deficit, and, and infinitum...

In KY unless I am getting it mixed up, industrial hemp was legalsized and with the coal industry being shut down we need something else to replace it. (And we have good climate and soil for that ;) )

Same thing here in Virginia. It's a great crop for biomass if you're making fuel. It grows well on poor soil, doesn't need much in the way of fertilizers or insecticides, and produces about 44 dry tons of plant matter per acre per year here in Virginia compared to 5 or 6 dry tons per acre per year for wood or switchgrass. The Virginia General Assembly has gone on record twice supporting legalization of industrial hemp. They have also in North Dakota. DEA needs to accept the scientific evidence that hemp is a separate and identifiable species and get the hell out of the way.

I know! If you wanted to get high off the hemp plant you would need to smoke like 100xs more than you would weed.

Just learned a few week ago in my Political Science class that the paper our Constitution is written is made from hemp. Very interesting.
