You should watch President Eisenhower's farewell address in 1961 warning of the dangers to American democracy and liberty of the rise of the military-industrial complex: [link]. And here's an assessment of what's happened 50 years later: [link].

Eisenhower had 8 full years to keep the Military-Industrial Complex on a short leash. He didn't do very well on that...

You know, if I spent my time worrying about sophomoric idiots like titanicfan1000 I'd never get anything done.  He's obtuse and misses the critical point, preferring, because he is such a special person, to focus instead on his nitpicking revisionism.  The point is that Ike warned us about the military-industrial complex that has come to pass, and more.  That's the point, not whether or not Ike beat Hitler with or without the help of the Soviets.  That's the point, whether or not Ike authorized the U-2 flight in 1960 that got shot down just before the Geneva summit with the Soviets.

People like titanticfan1000 apparently spend most of their time perusing the work of others in an effort to find one little thing that they feel they can successfully challenge, and then try to make the case that they're right (debatable) and that their one little claimed victory invalidates the main point being made.  That's a logical fallacy.

I really don't have time for this sort of bullshit, and if titanticfan1000 had bothered to read my Policy Statement before posting, he would have understood that I consider people like him to be trolls, and trolls get banned from my gallery.  I have said this many times before and I will say it again: I don't intrude on the work of others, especially those with whom I disagree, and so, I expect the same courtesy in return.  If anyone disagrees with the political point I am making, they are free to create their own art and post it in their own gallery.  Simply because they think they have a point does not give them the right to insist that I debate with them.  I'm just not interested.  If anyone has a problem with that, they shouldn't visit my gallery.  I could care less about what they think, and neither, I believe, do the more than 1,000 deviants who watch me regularly.
