Everything you say is true about the historical situations to which you refer. Had I been Jew under Nazi occupation, I would have fought back too. Even the Dali Lama has said that when someone is shooting at you, there is no moral obligation to die without defending yourself.

However, in the current political situation in the United States, we are far from any of those kinds of situations, and as recent history in the Philippines, Poland, East Germany, India, Russia, the American South during the civil rights era, Czechoslovakia, and many other places, massive non-violent civil disobedience and resistance has proven not only moral, but effective, in overthrowing tyrannical regimes.

My favorite "bullet" is truth since personally I do not consider myself to be a pacifist... I believe civil disobedience has its place, as a first step, and violence as its last, but that of course depends on the situation I mean... I do not think slavery would have ended when it did, I do not believe the holocaust would have stopped when it did, I do not believe Stalin's regime would have killed nearly as many as it did... if not for reactionary violence but as always people are entitled to their views, good picture though.
