Well, Romney lost. The Republicans lost seats in the House and Senate. The election proved that even massive amounts of money can't be relied upon to fool people. In the year Occupy Wall Street made "the 1%" and "the 99%" household words that everyone in America knows and understands, the Republican Party nominated the poster boy for the 1%, and the people responded accordingly. I'm hopeful that in his second term, now that he doesn't need their money (so much) Obama may be emboldened to move on some of the things he can do without Congress. Perhaps, after 2014, if the Republicans lose their majority in the House, it will be possible then to really do something about the abuses of Wall Street. In the meantime, because of her strong stand on these issues Elizabeth Warren beat Scott Brown for the U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts, so, she's a rising star and that will help the movement too. It's a long term process.
