A few years ago he was at a climate meeting, he was just there to see a friend but after listening in for a few minutes he asked to speak.
He laid out the way to counteract climate change that didn't evolve billions upon billions. By his calculations the simultaneous eruption of 100 volcanoes around the world would put enough ash and pumice into the air to cut back on the amount of CO2, and deflect enough sunlight to counteract the "warming" effects.
That is just his baseline. He lays out every detail, step by step, and its just awesome. To think that a man responsible for nearly destroying the world, would, off the top of his head come up with a way to save it.
And to do so using the planet itself! Truly genius at it's finest.
Total cost? Between 25 and 40 million. Or, the amount a multi-billionaire donates to charity in a given year.
I can't find it online anymore, but its been several years since I first saw it. I wonder if you wouldn't have better luck than I.
If you can find it its a truly inspiring read.
